Ready to take your substation automation skills to the next level?

Triangle MicroWorks invites you to our IEC 61850 Hands-On Training Series, a practical, instructor-led program built for engineers, technicians, system integrators and Universities working in the modern power grid.

This training series is a comprehensive, interactive program designed to demystify the IEC 61850 standard and help engineers and technicians apply it confidently in real-world scenarios. Each session in the series is designed with hands-on labs and practical examples, ensuring participants not only understand the theory but can apply it effectively in the field.

πŸŽ₯ Step 1: Watch the Training Video – Build a Strong Foundation

Your IEC 61850 training journey starts with a clear, expert-led training video—designed to give you a solid understanding of the core concepts before you dive into the hands-on Lab Exercises.

This video is more than just a lecture—it's a visual guide to the essential elements of IEC 61850, presented by experienced engineers who’ve worked with utilities, OEMs, and integrators around the world.

πŸ”¬ Step 2: Hands-On with the Lab Exercises: Learn by Doing

Theory is important—but true mastery comes from doing. That’s why every session in our IEC 61850 Hands-On Training Series includes guided lab exercises.

These labs are designed to simulate real-world substation scenarios, giving you the chance to apply what you’ve learned immediately—no hardware required. As part of this training series, you’ll receive an extended trial license for our IEC 61850 Toolkit, allowing you to work through each exercise without limitation. The lab exercises are structured to help you gain practical experience with IEC 61850 in a simulated substation environment.

When you're ready to start the lab, please email Training@TriangleMicroWorks.com to get an extended trial license for our IEC 61850 Toolkit.

πŸŽ–οΈ Step 3: Showcase Your Achievement on LinkedIn - Get Recognized

You’ve completed your IEC 61850 Hands-On Training—now it’s time to let the professional world know. Use Certifier, our official certificate delivery platform, to upload your achievement directly to LinkedIn and boost your credibility in the power systems industry.

Here’s how to add your Certifier-issued certificate to LinkedIn:

    1.
Open your certificate email from Certifier and click the "View Certificate" button to open your digital certificate.

    2. Click the LinkedIn icon or "Add to LinkedIn" button on the certificate page.
